Junior Competitions and Events

Northern Rivers Ford Junior Competition

Our Northern Rivers Ford Junior competition is on every Monday from 5:00pm during school terms, with various age groups. Age groups are subject to change season to season, depending on the player nominations received.

There are 2 seasons per year:
Season 1 - School Terms 1 & 2; finals are played at the end of term 2
Season 2 - School Terms 3 & 4; finals are played at the end of term 4

Player nominations are called prior to the commencement of each season and our competition co-ordinators make teams to ensure fair and enjoyable competition for all. There may be some changes to teams in the first few weeks of each season to ensure equal competition. 

All players need to be registered with Basketball NSW & Lismore Basketball to play.  Registration fees vary between ages.

Game fees are $145 upfront for the season. Payments can be made via the registration/membership link. Active Kids Vouchers can be used to pay for the full season.

Please note our Junior Competition is structured games only, it does not include any skills or training sessions. For younger, inexperienced players who require skills or training, please consider Aussie Hoops (see below) prior to joining the Junior Competition. There is also opportunities to train in our 'Storm Fundamentals' and 'This Girl Hoops' programs.

Aussie Hoops - Wednesday

Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia’s official introductory program for 5-10 year olds and their families.
​
Aussie Hoops is a national program which provides an environment where children of all abilities can achieve on the court and reap the rewards of skill development, enhanced self-esteem, social co-operation and grassroots sports participation.

​Aussie Hoops registrations for Term 1 2026 open 10/01/2026. The program will run at Lismore Basketball Stadium every Monday during Term 1 of the school year starting the 2nd of February. The program will start at 4:00pm and finish at 5:00pm each week.

The cost of the program is $100 and any balls, bags and singlets can also be purchased through the link below.
